Spring in your step

I don’t know about you, but I’m desperate for spring these days. DESPERATE.

Much of my down time is spent Googling “Spring Fashion”, and putting together a list of seasonal investment pieces, in some vain attempt to get the weather to follow suit. Despite the fact that reality looks like this:

Seriously?!

Seriously?!

Positive thinking, amiright?

One of the spring wardrobe basics that has made my budget list for the upcoming season is the ankle boot. A favourite of models and celebrities for a few years running, its looking like ankle boots are here to stay. Chelsea boots, ankle boots, Western-style booties, block heels.  Whatever your style, they are a great dress-up/dress-down staple.

They make it look so good, don't they?

Normally I am not a big supporter of “faux” items, but I stumbled across these Old Navy faux-suede and faux-leather booties the other day, and frankly, they’re just too good too miss out on. Sometimes designer brands (I’m looking at you, Rag & Bone) don’t always fit within the budget.

Instead of $400 plus, these Old Navy gems regularly punch in at $36.94. Right now, to make the deal even sweeter, they’re on sale for $25.99-$34.00, online and in-store (*Note: I recommend going a half size up from your usual size).

Run, don’t walk.

These are a perfect winter-spring transition piece, and a little treat to keep you motivated, and a reminder that despite what the Weather Network says, sun, warmer weather and spring ARE on their way, one way or another.

Hang in there!
